Drypoint, Chine Collé & Contact Mono Weekend Workshop: 2 & 3 December

170.00

Tutors: Niamh Flanagan & Clare Henderson

Dates: Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd December, 10am - 4pm

Suitable for: Beginners & Intermediate

Students will be introduced to basic printmaking practice and will develop these skills over the duration of the course. We will begin the course by introducing students to contact monoprints. In the afternoon the focus will be on making drypoint plates and printing them. Students can create line and tone without acid with this method. We can then use printmaking techniques like roll-ups and chine collé to further develop our images.

Materials:
As students will be working from their own ideas, we would prefer you to bring a drawing or painting you have made yourself as source material. If you do not usually draw or paint, please bring other source material, like a tracing of a drawing or some photographs or images you like to help us understand what kind of image you would like to make. The more source material you bring with you, the better! Please bring a hard copy image with you, not an image on a device.

Students will be provided with all the materials needed to make a print.

However, it is necessary to bring:
- apron
- pencils and pens
- a notebook

Please note there is a minimum requirement of participants, if not reached course is subject to cancellation. A full refund will be issued in this event.
